Panorama & The Pan American
Panorama was the University of Texas-Pan American's award-winning magazine. In 2009, I served as the editor-in-chief and the lead designer. I art directed and designed the cover and several spreads in the publication. Friends of mine were kind enough to let me use them as models for several photo series in the issue. The magazine's theme for the year was 'performance.' The majority of the photos shown here were taken inside a garage and the cover photo was snapped in a corridor on campus in a midnight shoot that took less than 10 minutes. Also featured below are a few center spread layouts from The Pan American newspaper, where I served as one of two designers on staff.

Bucky Challenge
This was designed for the center spread of The Pan American newspaper in August 2010. The article itself features an app I helped build for Reel to Red Productions. It was available on iTunes for about 3 years after its initial release. The app was a multi-level sports game set on the UTPA campus and stars the university's mascot, Bucky. The app was Reel to Red's experimental foray into app development.
